Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Evening/Weekend Youth Services Worker to join our team.
This role is crucial in providing a safe and supportive environment for our residents outside of regular business hours.
The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young people, exhibiting patience, empathy, and a commitment to our mission.
Key
Responsibilities:
Supervise and interact with residents in our group home during evening and weekend hours, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Implement daily routines and assist with the coordination of evening and weekend activities and programs that promote social, educational, and emotional development.
Provide crisis intervention as needed, maintaining a calm and supportive presence for residents experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.
Facilitate positive interactions among residents, promoting teamwork, respect, and effective communication.
Assist with homework and provide academic support to ensure residents are meeting their educational goals.
Conduct regular checks to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
Document and report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate supervisor or team member in a timely and professional manner.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to youth services and care.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; some college coursework in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience working with children or adolescents, especially those with emotional or behavioral challenges, is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents and staff.
Ability to remain patient, compassionate, and composed under pressure.
Willingness to work evening and weekend shifts.
Must pass a background check and meet all state and organizational requirements for working with youth.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
